Beacon on the Mount

The LIght of Mount Greylock

At an attitude of 3,491 feet, and the highest point in the state of Massachusetts, the light on top of Mount Greylock in the Berkshire Mountains shines over one of the state's most scenic spots where visitors can take in the fresh mountain air and find a place of tranquility while soaking in the stunning landscape. Built in 1933 and dedicated to the Veterans of Massachusetts who served in WWI, the light is said to be seen from over 70 miles away.

The view from the top is like no other in the state, and its beacon warmly welcomes guests after they travel the long and winding mountain wooded road that leads to her majesty.
